The Department German as a Foreign Language (ZFA) will only offer preparatory courses until the summer term of 2024. The existing offer is aimed exclusively at prospective international students who have already successfully applied or attended courses. We cannot provide recommendations or advice on offers from other providers. We thank you for your understanding!

As you may already know, we are again offering courses face-to-face. Each course is 10 weeks, at least 20 hours per week. Classes take place in presence and are supplemented by an online component. The RUB reserves the right to increase the proportion of online teaching. The number of course places is limited.

Registration

You may take part in the study preparation courses if you fulfil the admission requirements for studying at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and if you have successfully applied for a language course in our department in the past.

You can register for our intensive courses with your valid DaF application number (XXXXX) or a RUB certificate of enrollment.

To do so, send us the completed registration form with a passport copy (ID page) (including RUB certificate of enrollment, if applicable) directly to the Department of German as a Foreign Language by e-mail to: daf-info@rub.de. After receipt of the form, you will receive an invoice for the course fee. After receipt of the payment, you will receive an admission letter to the language courses at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
