Our next courses for preparation for TestDaF:

IP 2403: 06.05. - 04.06.2024
IP 2404: 10.07. – 02.08.2024

The courses to prepare for the TestDaF examination last 4 weeks and comprise a total of about 20 teaching units per week. You will get to know the exam format and acquire strategies to be able to work effectively on the different subtests. You will also expand the skills that are important for successful communication in your studies.

You will work with a course book and the materials we provide on the Moodle learning platform. You will take part in face-to-face and online lessons (via Zoom) and receive feedback on your performance. Plan on a workload of about 4-5 hours per day. You will have the opportunity to take a model test during the course and receive feedback on it.

Prerequisite:

You should have advanced language skills in German (at least level B2 of the CEFR)

TestAS

The TestAS is a centralised, standardised aptitude test for foreign students. TestAS gives prospective students information about their individual ranking compared to other applicants. With good results, they can improve their chances of being admitted for studies at a German university.

New: With the dMAT into your Master's programme
The dMAT is the digital aptitude test for Master's degree programmes in Germany. It is developed by universities in cooperation with g.a.s.t.. With the dMAT certificate, you show that you are professionally qualified for selected degree programmes. The dMAT is an additional proof of your previous academic achievements and degrees.

So far, the dMAT has been available for the subjects Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics, and will be available for other subjects in the future.
You can take it in German or English.

Courses during summer term 2025

The obligatory pre-registration for our courses in summer term 2025 takes place from March 3rd until April 4th via our online portal.

Course places will be allocated after the registration period.

All courses will be running in the period between April 22nd until July 25th.

For international RUB employees: Online registration for our DaF courses for this target group in summer semester 2025 is now possible via the RUB training portal.

Intensive Preparatory Courses

The DaF department at the ZFA will no longer offer preparatory courses from the winter semester 2024/25. Unfortunately, we cannot provide recommendations or advice on courses offered by other providers. Thank you for your understanding!
